Stylish 1930s Signed Swank Art Deco Style Gold Tone Tie Bar/Tie Clip In Great Condition.
This elegant tie bar measures approximately 2" x 2"
This piece features a gold-tone slide-on mechanism with a distinctive oval frame and an attached twisted rope chain.
Unlike a standard tie clip that pinches the tie to the shirt, a tie chain (or tie stay) uses a top bar that slides onto the shirt placket. The chain then drapes over the front of the necktie to hold it loosely in place.
Swank was a prominent American manufacturer of men's jewelry and accessories, particularly during the mid-20th century.
