Vintage 1970s/80s East German (GDR/DDR) "Activist of Socialist Labor" Medal Badge Gold Tone Pin In Great Condition.
This great pin measures 1 3/4" tall.
Original "Activist of Socialist Labor" Medal (Aktivist der sozialistischen Arbeit) from the former German Democratic Republic (East Germany). Established in 1969, this civilian state decoration was awarded to workers who demonstrated outstanding dedication, exceeded production quotas, and excelled within the socialist planned economy.
The design is a diamond-shaped gold-toned medal featuring the iconic East German state emblem-the hammer and compass enveloped by a wreath of rye.
It hangs from a matching dark red enamel-effect suspension bar.
The back features the raised state slogan: “Sozialistisch arbeiten, lernen und leben” (To work, learn, and live in a socialist way).
A fantastic piece of Cold War and Soviet-bloc history perfect for militaria collectors and historical displays.
