Elegant 1970s/80s Vintage Pewter Tone Ornate Baroque/Victorian/Rococo Style Picture Frame New Old Stock In Original Plastic Packaging. Made In Taiwan
This charming picture frame measures approximately 2 1/2" x 2".
Holds a 1 1/2" x 1" photo.
These small, heavy metal frames stamped "Made in Taiwan" were highly popular export items produced primarily during the 1970s and 1980s.
It is cast from a solid base metal alloy—commonly referred to as pewter or pot metal—finished with an antiqued, dark silver patina to mimic aged Victorian silver.
The frame is decorated with a detailed scrollwork open border, side floral clusters, a rope-twist border framing the photo window, and a prominent rococo-style top crest.
