1980s Vintage Car Mezuza Pewter Souvenir pre-owned on Card.
This great piece measures approximately 2" tall.
Features a small decorative case designed to be placed inside a vehicle for protection and blessing. It contains a metallic, stylized case with a prominent Hebrew letter Shin (ש) on the front.
The card features a quote from Psalms 91:11 (written as psalms. xci in Roman numerals).
Text in English: "for he shall give his angels charge ever thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."Text in Hebrew: Features the matching biblical verse from Psalms: ״כִּי מַלְאָכָיו יְצַוֶּה לָּךְ לִשְׁמָרְךָ בְּכָל דְּרָכֶיךָ״ along with the source citation תהילים צ״א.
A traditional mezuzah is strictly commanded to be affixed to the doorposts of a home, a "car mezuzah" is a popular modern Jewish travel amulet. It is used as a symbolic token for safety, protection, and divine guardianship during journeys, often accompanied by the Traveler's Pray (Tefilat HaDerech).
