This is a great traditional vintage daruma male doll, that is regarded as a good-luck charm. This spherical doll is hollow and covered with lovely gold, silver, and red & green, black & blue brocade fabric.
Also these dolls are a traditional craft of Matsuyama. Children who play with Hime Daruma dolls are said to grow up healthy, and invalids who display them are said to recover quickly. They also make popular wedding and childbirth gits.
It measures approximately 6" Tall. Hand painted with eyes that make them almost realistic. The doll stands up straight and is shaped like an egg. Very Colorful & Detailed.
