1950s/60s Sterling Silver 10-year Service Award From The Cooper Hospital Camden New Jersey Enamel Pin (now Cooper University Health Care) Located In Camden New Jersey In Great Condition.
Measures 5/8" in diameter
The "10" at the base signifies a decade of dedicated service to the hospital. Similar pins were awarded for other milestones, such as 5, 15, or 20 years.
A common philanthropic mission statement for historical medical institutions.
"Nisi Dominus Frustra": A Latin phrase meaning "Without the Lord, [it is] in vain". It is a shortened version of a line from Psalm 127:1 and was historically the motto for the Blue Cross health system and many public institutions.
The central crest features an eagle at the top and a shield containing multiple crosses (including the red cross) and symbols representing the hospital's founding and medical mission.
