It measures approximately 1 1/2" in diameter. The Riviera Hotel & Casino was a notable Las Vegas landmark that opened in 1955. It closed its doors in 2015 and was demolished in 2016. Collectibles like this gaming token are a piece of the casino's history. These coins were what came out of machines when you hit a jackpot and you'd case them in at the casino cage for cash. Its rare to find these type of machines on the Las Vegas strip. A few downtown Las Vegas casinos might have a few remaining on their casino floors.
