Colorful Traditional Hand painted Dutch Miniature Wooden Shoe (clog) Keychain In Great Condition.
This great looking keychain measures approximately 4" tall
This keychain features a hand-painted windmill and tulip design. Wooden shoes, known as klompen, are a famous cultural symbol of the Netherlands.
Klompen were Created in the Middle Ages as protective footwear for farmers, fishermen, and factory workers.
Traditionally carved from a single block of wood, usually willow or poplar.
Purpose: They keep feet warm in winter, cool in summer, and offer excellent protection against heavy objects.
Still worn today by some Dutch farmers and gardeners, though mostly sold as souvenirs.
